COBRA Electronic Payment Option
Insperity is pleased to offer COBRA participants the ability to pay their monthly premium using an electronic funds transfer (EFT) process. There is no convenience fee for using the EFT payment option.
You will need your "QBID" number to use the EFT system. Your QBID number is included in your COBRA confirmation letter (and on your COBRA coupons). If you do not know this number, please contact the Insperity Contact Center at 866-715-3552. You may make payment for only one QBID number at a time. If you wish to make payment for more than one QBID number, you must complete a separate online transaction for each number.
Make sure your bank account information is correct and that you have sufficient funds in your account before making payment. If your payment cannot be processed, your COBRA coverage will be terminated for nonpayment, unless the error is resolved by the last day of the grace period. It can take 3-5 days to process your payment. Notification of any processing errors will occur by mail.
Payments will be accepted as timely if made by 11:59 p.m., CST. Late payments will not be accepted and will be refunded.
It takes approximately 4-6 business days for information on your payment to be transmitted to the insurance carrier and the carrier's records updated. If you wait to make a payment until the end of your payment period, this could cause the carrier's records to reflect a loss of coverage until your payment information has been received and applied by the carrier.
The EFT payment system will not prevent you from making a payment that is less than your full COBRA premium. However, any shortage must be paid by the last day of the grace period to retain your coverage. Otherwise, your payment will be refunded and your coverage terminated.
Your payment will appear on your bank statement with the notation "Insperity PEO Web Pay."
Any refunds due will be made via paper check and generally mailed within 2 to 3 weeks from the date your payment was received.
